Moving Day!

Great Grammie and Grampie Rockey decided to "move their house"  we weren't sure how that was going to happen but we were going to be there to help!  Mommy said it was going to be over by the pond!  That got us thinking about swimming, actually we've never stopped thinking about it!

Monday night before the big move we went to the beach in Grammie's living room!
We filled our buckets with "sand" legos

Then Tuesday morning we took care of Great Grammie!
First we showed her how to do puzzles....

Then we made her some brownies for lunch...
These weren't the kind with those black beans mommy hides in them sometimes.

After Great Grammie's nap we read some books!

After our yummy supper we went to look at Great Grammie and
Great Grampie's new house on the pond!  This is their living room.

The kitchen...

From the living room looking into the bedroom.
We bounced on their bed, just to make sure the movers had it put together right.

Great Grammie's clothes and Great Grampie's books,
we couldn't find any Thomas or Dora books up there though??

Great Grampie told us this was the ninth place they have lived...
This sign was right near the big red one that Owen was messing with,
I think it said "FIRE alarm" or something!

The window on the left is Great Grampie's office

This is us with Grammie at the pond!!

It was sure fun helping Great Grammie and Grampie move!

Black Bean Brownies

I hesitated to put this recipe on my blog, mainly because of the friends and family we have over for dinner that would shiver at the thought of these, and wonder what weird ingredient I'm hiding in their food. Honestly, I've tried these brownies hot, warm, room temp, frozen and standing on my head (not really) and can not detect the taste of the black beans.  I am not picky though, so maybe I should not be the one to judge.  Aside from the texture, I can not tell a difference.  Plus they are healthy!  So here you go.....

The long list of ingredients.....
I opened the black beans, drained and rinsed, then poured them back into the can and filled it with water.  I think that helps to get some of the not so tasty stuff off the beans.

Next I put the contents of the can into the food processor, blended until smooth, and mixed with the dry brownie mix.  No eggs, or oil.  Pour into your pan like normal and bake as directed on the box.

Try them sometime, and you can be the judge!

Going Farmin'

Yesterday Daddy promised tractor rides for Mia and Owen! 8:00 Monday morning M&O were raring to go.  But first we had to decide who goes first.  Mia suggested putting their names in a bowl and picking out Mia!  Owen didn't think that was a very great idea.  As it turns out Owen did have to wait until the second trip.  What a looooooong wait! I think Mia is most excited because she knows that the corn has to be planted and growing before we can go to Yogi Bear's.  So today after her tractor ride she told me "well the corn is planted now....it's almost time for Yogi Bears!"
Waiting...waiting....waiting....
HERE IT COMES!

Mia and her not so "farmin" attire...

Finally!  We're goin farmin!

Our week in photos

Last Friday we started the day with a visit from Jill, Claire, Jana, Kaci and Seth. First we had to figure out who Claire was and why Ellie and Darren weren't there! We had lots of fun playing outside!

After our nap we left for Cedar Falls.
Here I am eating my Donald's ice cream.

Saturday, we went to Stout Bible conference.  Mommy didn't have any photos of me because I didn't stay in one place for more than 30 seconds.  Sitting all day?  Who does that?

After 2 days without my nap this is what the car ride home looked like:

Monday Mia and I were exhausted!  We drove a couple places in our "car".  It was a good trip.

Monday the UPS man brought us these new jammies from Auntie Becka!

Tuesday, we played outside!  This is a picture of the building daddy is going to knock down.  I can't wait to see the DIGGER!

Tuesday we went to Grandma's house for popcorn after meeting.  We got to talk to Mr. Smith.  I thought his name was Mr. Smell though.  We told him lots of stories about how the piggies REEK!

Wednesday mommy decided to brave a trip to Prairie with us by herself.  First we went to Fort Fun, to play!

Then we got a hamburger from Donalds and went to Walmart and Piggly Piggly.  I picked out the chocolate milk.

Thursday we picked daffodils after mommy got home from work!

And Friday, they were finally working on the road by our house.  We saw a GRADER! and a DUMP TRUCK!  It will be SO FUN to watch all summer!
