Recently I made this casserole for a good friend and her family. I’ve been asked a few times for the recipe so I’ll share it with you all!
1 1/2 lb. ground pork
1/4 C. Chopped Onion
Dash of pepper
4 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 C Ketchup (can add more if mixture is dry)
1/2 C BBQ sauce (I used Countryside)
9 slices Velveeta cheese
1 tube crescent rolls
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Garlic Powder
Dill Pickle slices
Brown beef and onion. Drain. Add pepper, ketchup, BBQ and tomato sauce; heat thoroughly. Put into 8x8 pan. Lay slices of cheese in 3 rows of 3. Cover with crescent rolls, pinching to seal. Sprinkle with shredded cheese, dust with garlic powder and place pickles on the top. Bake 350˚ for 30-35 minutes or until crescent rolls are golden.
You can add mushrooms and use swiss cheese omitting the BBQ for a different flavor!
